The bath room door should swing out not where a person sitting could get hit in the head, newspaper, and or feet....
The service was very nice and polite. It was in walking distance of Williamsburg Historic area, and Busch Gardens was 5min down the road.
During the summer the room seems to hold moisture from the ac units, so everything felt kind of sticky. It could of been just our room.
We asked for spare towels, but the service didn't get through. And at 1, 3, and 5 am, an alarm went off in our room. So, we went to the front desk; for they said the hotel's battery needed to be changed. They did not change rooms for us. We were up all night. We would not want to go there ever again.
Everyone was very friendly and it was very convenient having a bar/restaurant in the hotel.
This hotel needs to be upgraded badly! The rooms have a musty smell to them and are dated. For the price, it should really have more amenities like free breakfast and have nicer rooms.
Close to Colonial Williamsburg. Staff were friendly.
Outside door 15 feet from our room door would not close completely day and night. Our room was loud. Walls must be thin, neighbors could be heard talking and we could hear every word. Embarrassing. Also the whole second floor is shared with the bar. At midnight it was still a loud party, we finally moved upstairs which helped, but then there was a loud train directly next to the hotel. The elevator failed once with us, other people were also talking about it. Room keys took about 5 swipes, everyone had the same problem. Also vending machine on top floor empty, third floor had one bottled water in the machine. Disaster hotel.
Set of three keys did not work. Had to rub down with a plastic bag before one would open the door. Extremely small room for price. Toilet would not flush. Shower would not drain. Roof need new shingle. Gutters falling off eaves.
The pool was great for the kids. Having the restaurant and pool table was a plus. The proximity to Historic Williamsburg (walking distance) and Busch Gardens (15 minute drive down the road) was unbeatable. The room accomodations were nice. The beds weren't the most comfortable but the price was reasonable. I would definitely stay there again and would reccomend the Clarion to friends and family.
Over all I'd say it was all good. Breakfast wasn't included but the room had a frig. There was complimentary coffee in the lobby but it wasn't very good.
The price for the night was good.
The fitness room was horrible....broken equipment and had a smell there. Was stated that the pool was heated....not heated. Was stated that was a non-smoking hotel...room smelled of cigarrettes
It was accessible to restaurants and shopping areas.
While the staff was very helpful and friendly we were inconvenienced by room keys that did not work during the entire stay. We also did not have a tv remote and after calling the front desk to request one, it was never delivered to our room as promised. I would not stay again.
The on site restaurant only served dinner from 5-9 pm (should be open later) The mgr on duty the 1st am there was very gracious...when I told her how filthy the a/c filter was she (without my asking) offered me a comp. Breakfast for 2...no breakfast included w/ room...coffee only
I noticed that the Quality inn 200 yds away and part of the same hotelchain apparently had later swimming pool hrs driving back to our room at 10:30 pm we went by the Quality inn and saw people in the in- door pool the hours for pool were 10 to 10 which w/ our schedule meant we could'nt use it I brought my bathing suit for nothing....very disappointing
There was a room service menu. But I found out when trying to order that there was no room service available in october because the season was slowing down. The wifi password had been changed, but you had to call the reception to find out. And the wifi was very poor, which is problematic when you have work to do.
No tv remote Keys to room never worked Had to have someone come let us back in every time we returned to room
We did not like that the bar was located so close to the other rooms on the main level, we could hear the dj and music. Also, the room seemed to be needing a makeover. However, to find something so inexpensive it was fine, it was a bed and shower.
Very close to Colonial Williamsburg, The Williamsburg Winery, William and Mary, and restaurants. The staff at the Clarion was very polite, and there is a bar and restaurant in the Hotel. This is not a "fancy" hotel, but it was a nice place to stay.
